Now less than 2 weeks! Hurry to use the online entry form here !!!
The format will be a 3-round McMahon. The main time limit will be 60 minutes, followed by an initial overtime period of 30 stones in 10 minutes, then subsequent periods of 30 stones in 5 minutes.
We shall aim to complete registration by 9:30 and have the prizegiving at 18:30 but this may well be a little more flexible than previous years.
Fees are considerably less than previous years due to the change in venue.
Fees are £7 per player (concessions £4). There will be a £3 surcharge for non-BGA members and a further £3 surcharge to those entering on the day.
There will be a selection of prizes available to those winning 3 rounds. If numbers permit we may well extend this to those winning 2 as last year.
A buffet lunch will be available at a cost of £7.50 per head. Please specify at the time of booking that you require this.
Snacks, drinks and lunches are also available from the pub.
Tea and Coffee will be provided without charge all day.
All those who wish to stay for dinner are invited to join us afterwards. We may either stay at the pub or go to a local restaurant according to people's wishes.
Please specify when booking that you wish to come.
The venue can be reached from Junction 4 of the A1(M) motorway, just North of the Hatfield Tunnel.
There are about 4 trains an hour into and out of London to Hatfield station, from which the venue is easy walking distance.
The line also serves Cambridge directly and with a single change at Stevenage serves various destinations further North.
There is plenty of free parking adjacent to the pub.
To enter for the tournament, use the online entry form here. This is now supported on the BGA tournament registeration system.
Note that you don't have to have your name displayed to other entrants if you don't want it.
