Go (also known as Baduk or Weiqi) was invented in China more than 4,500 years ago and is believed to be the oldest continuously played board game. There are over 46 million people worldwide who know how to play Go, and over 20 million current players, the majority of whom live in East Asia. St Albans Go club, as one of the many clubs affiliated with the British Go Association, aims to bring the game to a wider western audience in general, and to the St Albans area in particular.

If you are the parent or guardian of a young person who plays or wants to play Go, get in touch, and we can make arrangements to meet earlier and offer some teaching support.
